Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 16 ounces medium carrot, peeled (6 to 9 whole carrots) or 16 ounces baby-cut carrots
  • 1 1/2 cups Swanson® Spicy Chicken Broth
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest

Instructions

  • Step 1

    Heat the butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the carrots and stir to coat. Cook for 5 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 2

    Stir in the broth, honey and brown sugar and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes (larger carrots will take longer to cook) or until the carrots are tender and the broth mixture has reduced to a glaze, stirring occasionally. Stir in the parsley and orange zest and cook for 1 minute. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
