Imagine savoring a home-cooked meal that's both heartwarmingly traditional and delightfully simple. That's what our Easiest Salisbury Steak delivers— a family favorite brought to your table in just 30 minutes. Forgo the hassle of an elaborate recipe without compromising on taste. Our skillet-sizzled Salisbury steaks, draped in rich beef gravy, offer the ultimate no-fuss comfort food experience. Pro tip: make an extra batch and turn these savory patties into luxurious open-faced sandwiches the next day.
Step 1
Season the beef with salt and pepper. Thoroughly mix the beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg and water in a bowl and shape firmly into 4 (1/2-inch thick) oval patties.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides (to prevent sticking- make sure the skillet and oil are hot before adding the patties). Pour off any fat.
Step 3
Add the gravy and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the patties are done. Let the patties rest for a few minutes to redistribute the juices before serving.
