Shrimp Alfredo

It is easy to get dinner on the table fast when you make our recipe for Shrimp Alfredo.  Shrimp, fettuccine and peas are tossed with our delicious and creamy Alfredo sauce then topped with basil for a bright, fresh flavor.   Perfect for busy weeknights as this recipe uses just a few ingredients, is on the table in 20 minutes and tastes even better than take out.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 jar (14.5 ounces) Prego® Homestyle Alfredo Sauce
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • Step 1

    Cook and drain the fettuccine according to the package directions.  While the fettuccine is cooking, season the shrimp as desired.  Mix the shrimp and garlic in a medium bowl.

  • Step 2

    Heat the oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.  Add the shrimp mixture and cook for 4 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked through, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 3

    Stir the sauce and peas in the skillet and cook until the mixture is hot.  Season to taste.  Serve the shrimp mixture over the fettuccine and sprinkle with the basil just before serving.
