Does hot, delicious pizza, piled with hearty meats and cheese sound good right now? Well, you can have it about an hour with this recipe for Homemade Deep Dish Pizza with Beef, Pepperoni and Peppers. Refrigerated dough, frozen peppers and onions, plus the rich Prego® Sauce make it possible. Baking in a cast iron skillet makes the crust crispy enough to hold all those toppings. Step 1
Heat the oven to 400°F. While the oven is heating, cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, stirring often to separate meat.
Step 2
Add peppers and onions and cook until the beef is well browned. Pour off any fat. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the sauce and heat to a boil. Remove the skillet from the heat.
Step 3
Brush the oil on the inside of a 10-inch cast iron skillet. Unroll the dough. Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of the skillet.
Step 4
Top the dough with the beef mixture, pepperoni and cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the crust is a deep golden brown (if the crust is getting too dark cover loosely with aluminum foil).
Step 6
Let the pizza cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then carefully remove from the hot skillet to a cutting board. Cut and serve with additional sauce, if desired.
