Nothing says summer quite like hot dogs! These Loaded Hot Dogs taste amazing and are still really simple to make. We're highlighting a bacon-wrapped loaded hot dog piled high with toppings and drizzled with our sweet and spicy Pace® Hot Honey Chipotle Signature Sauce but we've included additional loaded hot dog recipe variations in the "Tips" section below! Wrap strips of bacon around hot dogs and secure with wooden picks (at the ends so you can turn them in the skillet). Fry until the bacon is crisp, then toast the buns in the bacon drippings. Drizzle with a mixture of Pace® Hot Honey Chipotle Sauce and mayo, then top with queso fresco, avocado and pickled onion. The combo of bacon, hot dogs and our sweet spicy Signature Sauce is perfect. Step 1
Wrap 1 slice bacon around each hot dog, securing at both ends with wooden picks (placing the picks at the ends of the hot dogs makes it easier to turn them during cooking).
Step 2
Heat a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the wrapped hot dogs and cook for 5 minutes or until the bacon is crisp on all sides, turning often. Remove the hot dogs from the skillet and remove and discard the picks. Leave the bacon drippings in the skillet.
Step 3
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Place the hot dog buns, flat-side down, into the drippings in the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes or until golden-brown, turning over once halfway through the cooking time.
Step 4
Stir the sauce and mayonnaise in a bowl. Spread 1 tablespoon mixture inside each roll. Place the hot dogs in the buns and top with the queso fresco, avocado and onion. Drizzle with additional sauce, if desired.
